The cocktail reception begins at  6:30pm and the dinner and award program is at 8pm.   Tickets are $175 for IAHC members; and $200 for general admission. Irish Fest is July 12, 13 and 14, 2013 and showcases the finest in local and international Irish and American music, dance and family activities. It features more than 100 performers for 3 days on 5 stages.The festival directly supports and is held on the grounds of the Irish American Heritage Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and strengthening Irish culture in Chicago.Confirmed performers include: the TossersDublin City Ramblersthe Killdaresthe KreellersDerek Warfield and the Young Wolfe TonesChicago ReelKevin Flynn and the Avondale Ramblersthe Larkin and Moran BrothersJoe McShane and the SilverBridge BandAcademy of Irish MusicBaal TinneMisericordia Heartbreakers and Heartzingersthe Gleasonsthe Chancey Brothers In addition to the great music lineup, the weekend is packed with the regular festival favorites:  Irish and American food and drink, shopping, step dancers, traditional Irish music sessions, cultural exhibits, children’s activities, a raffle with a trip to Ireland, the Mashed Potato Eating Contest, the ShamROCK Stars singing contest for kids and the Hooley Hook-Up for singles on Friday night.  The Folk Tent returns with hands-on activity with demonstrations of Irish instruments, dances and sing-alongs. Irish and American food is available throughout the weekend, and dozens of vendors and artisans will be selling Irish clothing, music and jewelry. Cultural offerings include poetry readings, language lessons, one-act plays, art and museum exhibits. Our Tea Room returns as a respite for folks looking to cool off with live harp and piano music, a proper cup of tea and sandwiches and an air-conditioned Shamrock American Room.Back for 2013: The Fine Spirits Tasting Tent with Whiskey, Beer and Mead Tastings visits from Irish Wolfhound dogs and the Men in Kilts Contest. Hours are 6pm to midnight on July 12, noon to midnight on July 13 and noon to 11pm on July 14.Tickets are $7 for seniors, $8 in advance for adults (until the end of business on July 10) and $15 at the door. Children 12 and under are free.
